About

Kinect Capital is a non-profit that empowers entrepreneurs by making them more investable and connecting them with sources of capital. They facilitate meaningful relationships between entrepreneurs, mentors, and investors through community-driven events and networking opportunities.

Challenge

Kinect Capital lacked a dedicated event marketing team to promote its flagship events, Investor’s Choice and WeROC. They needed refined messaging, unique event branding, and creative strategies to position these events while working within the constraints of a non-profit budget.

Solution

  • Developed brand guides and distinct event branding for Investor’s Choice 2024 and WeROC 2024
  • Designed 30+ digital and print event assets
  • Built and executed an editorial calendar (April–October) for Meta and LinkedIn
  • Launched targeted email nurture campaigns with MailChimp
  • Managed influencer outreach with 200+ individual emails
  • Created and posted 70+ social media assets across LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook
  • Delivered a videography package with event coverage, b-roll, pitch recordings, and a 90-second highlight video

Key Results

  • WeROC 2024: 521 tickets sold (over capacity), generating $2,216.92 revenue
  • Investor’s Choice 2024: 486 tickets sold, generating $6,573.19 revenue
  • Social Growth: +216 LinkedIn followers, 30,581 total impressions across both events
  • Email Campaigns: 10 event emails to a 14,000-person list
  • Produced 30+ branded assets per event, boosting visibility and recognition
